1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Save Vault service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Save Vault provides a game save management service that allows users to organize and manage their game save information. All game save files remain stored locally on your computer - we never upload or store your actual game saves. The service includes user profile customization options, such as profile photo uploads, and provides enhanced security monitoring of account access.

3. User Accounts

3.1 You must create an account to use our Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3.2 You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to update your information as necessary.

3.3 We reserve the right to disable your account if we determine that you have violated these Terms.

3.4 For security purposes, we track login information including IP addresses, device information, browser details, and geographic location of logins. This information is used for account security monitoring and displayed in your account profile.

3.5 You may customize your profile by uploading a profile photo. All uploaded images must comply with our content guidelines and should not contain offensive, explicit, or copyrighted material without proper authorization.

3.6 You must be at least 13 years of age to use our Service. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old.

4. User Content

4.1 Our Service allows you to manage information about your game saves, while the actual save files remain on your local device.

4.2 You retain all rights to your User Content. By using our Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use and store your account information and profile data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

4.3 You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of adding it to our service.

4.4 We do not upload, access, or store your actual game save files - these remain exclusively on your computer.

5. Prohibited Activities

When using our Service, you agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our Service or other users' accounts
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or other malicious code
  • Use automated means to access or manipulate our Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of our Service
  • Engage in any activity that could disable, overburden, or impair the functioning of our Service
  • Upload any content that infringes on intellectual property rights

6. Termination

6.1 We may terminate or suspend your access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms.

6.2 You may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, your User Content will be deleted from our systems within 90 days from the date of account closure.

7. Warranty Disclaimer

Our Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

7.1 Service Availability

We make a best effort commitment to maintain service availability. While we strive to provide uninterrupted access to our Service, we do not guarantee specific uptime percentages. Occasional maintenance, updates, or technical issues may result in temporary service interruptions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or related to the use of or inability to use our Service.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Save Vault and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your use of our Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

11.1 Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service:

  • Both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally through good-faith negotiation.
  • If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, both parties agree to engage in mediation with a mutually agreed-upon mediator before pursuing litigation.
  • Mediation proceedings shall be conducted in English and shall take place online or at a mutually agreed location.
  • If mediation fails to resolve the dispute within 60 days of commencing the process, either party may proceed with litigation in the appropriate courts of the United Kingdom.
